The Seeking Continues (in an innovative way) 🔍

We’re thrilled to share that a new season of The Philosophy of Now is starting this week! And this one comes with a slight shift in form and focus. After years of illuminating conversations with scholars, artists, spiritual teachers, and changemakers, we’re returning with a season that is not just a collection of interviews, but a guided exploration. The episodes will drop biweekly, and each episode will center around a theme, rooted in timeless, yet urgent questions.

This shift emerged naturally through ongoing dialogue with our founder and the reflections we’ve gathered from our community. We realized that beyond the insight of our guests, what the show has always been about—quietly, steadily—is seeking itself: the hunger to understand, to connect, to heal, and to be present. So in this Season we’re designing a new rhythm, where narration, guided reflection, and conversation weave together. Each episode will not only invite you to listen, but to inquire alongside us. Through insight and interview, through questions and guided exploration, we’ll ask what it means to live the philosophy of now.

This upcoming season of The Philosophy of Now takes on a slightly different rhythm. Each episode will center around a thematic question, one that invites not just conversation, but collective inquiry. Through our own analysis and narration alongside insights from our guest dialogues, we’ll explore perspectives, personal stories, and philosophical connections that speak directly to our shared longing to understand.

The intention is not to provide definitive answers, but to sit with the question long enough that it begins to illuminate something within us. It is, in many ways, an experiment in collective interrogation: an unfolding dialogue between host, guest, and listener. After our introductory episode this week, we’re honored to begin this new chapter with best-selling author and speaker Ami Ganatra - her work invites reflection on tradition, interpretation, and contemporary understanding. So, stay tuned on our Spotify or Apple Podcast feed! You can access previous video episodes here.

Want to know what our name means? Find out through this beautiful explanation. The ROOTS Movement is founded on Realizing Our Own True Selves. We are grateful for this expression, as it provides a goal and context for our daily practices.

In the past season, we spoke with Sadhviji, George Mumford, & Dayal Gauranga. Truly an honor to spend that much time with teachers and practitioners of this caliber! We are hoping that you can join us in understanding and applying the philosophies of now that the esteemed guests share. Feel free to reach out with questions, notes, and reflections of your own.

In The Philosophy of Now podcast, we speak with thought leaders and innovators to learn about their mantras and perspectives for being present, or what we like to call - their philosophies of now.

We’ve already learned from a diverse range of phenomenal personalities like Sri M, Henry Shukman, Swami Sarvapriyananda, Sid Sriram, Acharya Prashant and Nandita Das.
